Backup and disaster recovery
Backup and Disaster Recovery for Small Businesses
Hardware fails, files get deleted and ransomware happens. BuzzTech makes sure your data is backed up automatically, checked regularly and ready to restore, so a bad day stays a bad day and not a business-ending one.
What we back up
- Workstations and laptops
- Servers and file shares
- Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Accounting and line-of-business data
- Offsite copies kept separate from your network
- Restore testing, not just backup jobs
What we do
A backup plan you can actually count on
Most businesses think they have backups until they need one. We set up backups that run on their own, alert us when something fails and get tested so we know they work.
Automatic backups
Scheduled backups of computers, servers and shared files, running in the background without anyone having to remember.
Offsite and cloud copies
A copy of your data kept away from your office, so a fire, flood or break-in does not take your backups with it.
Microsoft 365 and Google backup
Email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Google Drive data backed up separately, because deleted is not always recoverable in the cloud.
Ransomware protection
Backups isolated from your everyday systems so ransomware cannot encrypt them along with everything else.
Monitoring and testing
We watch every backup job and run test restores, so problems are found long before you need your data.
Recovery planning
A simple written plan for what happens if a computer, server or office goes down, and how fast you get back up.

FAQ
Common questions
How often should my business back up?
For most offices, at least daily, and more often for files that change constantly. We set a schedule based on how much work you can afford to lose.
Is OneDrive or Google Drive a backup?
Not by itself. Sync services copy deletions and ransomware changes too. A separate backup lets you go back to a clean copy.
Where is my data stored?
On encrypted storage, with at least one copy kept outside your office. We explain exactly where during setup.
Is backup included in Hive?
Backup and recovery is part of BuzzTech Hive managed IT. We can also set it up on its own for businesses that only need backup.
